Happy New Year to our Marlborough Public Schools community!

I cannot wait to see what 2026 has in store for Marlborough Public Schools. This is always my favorite time of year, as it marks the possibility of new beginnings and a renewed sense of all that is possible.

In the DeFalco household, we take time each New Year to reflect on two questions: What is one piece of ourselves or our practices we want to carry forward into the new year, and what is one thing we want to leave behind? I can tell you—the answers are always quite interesting!

As we look ahead to 2026, I am very much looking forward to continuing to build on the many strengths of our district, making adjustments to the work we are currently doing as and where needed, and collaborating with our educators and leaders to fill gaps in student opportunities. I could not be more thrilled to be partnering with all of you in this important work.

Thank you for your continued commitment to our students and our schools. Here’s to a year filled with growth, reflection, and possibility.

Happy New Year, Panther Nation!

Year in Review

As we prepare to resume classes and begin a new year, it’s a great time to look back on the amazing journey we've had together. Last year was packed with unforgettable moments and milestones across our district. Before we jump into the exciting events and plans coming our way, let’s take a stroll down memory lane and check out some fun highlights that brought our community closer.

All of our achievements wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support from everyone in our district. We’ve shared some incredible memories, and we can’t wait to see what adventures and opportunities 2026 has in store for us!

Enroll your child in the Marlborough Early Childhood Center

Registration for new students at the Marlborough Early Childhood Center for the 2025-2026 school year will open on Jan. 13 and close on March 14. If your child is currently enrolled, you do not need to register them again.

To qualify for a program, children must be between 2.9 and 4.0 years old by Aug. 31. We offer AM, PM and full-day options, but availability is limited.

The ECC uses a lottery system to admit students to classes. To qualify for the lottery, caregivers must complete all required registration materials. Once all paperwork is submitted, your child will be entered into the lottery. Registrations received after March 14 will automatically be placed on the waitlist.

To learn more about our program options or to view all registration information, please visit www.mps-edu.org or call (508) 460-3503 with any questions.
